This set has been sent to chips motorsports in mi for face resurfacing and has zero measurable wear on the faces. Three faces do have light step wear in the normal place remaining (approx 0.001-0002″), but check the pics carefully and use your own judgement before buying. Chip does reapply the original nitride hardness treatment, along with new expansion plugs and oil passage plugs. These are almost completely clean and ready for use with minimal prep. Appears to have a stock untouched intake port on all faces. As close to new as you can get, and if you do decide to buy new from mazda and if they happen to be available when you want to buy them, the cost is about $600-700 EACH PART plus shipping.
