rx7 87-91 13b turbo II 4 port used engine iron housing/plate set of 3 RESURFACED with FAT REINFORCED CASTINGS. These are technically 89-91 s5 irons but are direct swap into 87-88 turbo models as well. The front iron uses the double o-ring setup which is more desirable than the single o-ring on 87-88 original front irons.

Original turbo II front and rear iron housings had small castings at the dowel pins, and with some modifications, you can twist the block and crack these castings, resulting in an oil leak and the need to disassemble the engine for a rebuild, and replace that cracked iron. When the FD REW rx7 was designed, mazda compensated for this issue by adding material around the upper dowel pin castings on the front and rear iron. From then on, any FC turbo iron manufactured new also got the benefit of those revised, reinforced castings. For that reason, not a lot of these exist, because they had to have been manufactured and bought new after the FD rx7 production run.

This set has been sent to rotary science in va for face resurfacing and has zero measurable wear on the faces. Two faces do have light pitted areas at the bottom that shouldn’t hurt anything, but check the pics carefully and use your own judgement before buying. RS does not reapply the original nitride hardness treatment, these are lapped/ground only. Otherwise they are dirty and unprepared as-removed from core engines and need the normal cleaning and prep processes before use. Appears to have a stock untouched intake port on all faces. As close to new as you can get, and if you do decide to buy new from mazda, the cost is about $500-600 EACH PART plus shipping.
